Restalyne or Restalyn (also known as Restylane) is a NASHA (non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid). Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body and does not excite any allergic reaction when injected into the skin of the human body. Stabilization of the hyaluronic acid in Restalyne by a process of cross-linkage allows the face wrinkle filler gel to last longer in the human body than the usual few days before degradation. Restalyne lasts approximately 6 months in the human body before it is ultimately broken down.
